Memorial Day Weekend Camping at SBC

Well, we did it, we camped for the entire weekend. It did rain most of friday night, saturday and sunday morning. It was fun and Cody loved the rain, Ken was exhausted from chasing Cody, and I and Brady enjoyed being outside and hanging out with our family and friends. We camped at Somerset Beach Campground and our camper was just perfect. See some of the fun photos.

We camped with my parents, Carl & Nancy, my sister Evelyn or Evie as we know her, her husband Kevin and their two boys Cameron & Gabriel. Also my brother Paul and his wife Karol and thier four kids Tori, Nate, Pauly & Livi. Don't forget, each of us had our dogs there... Sasha, Poncho, Bella and Bella (Evie and Paul's dogs have the same name too cute). This was a great and wonderful time to be all together as a family, camping.

We had fun around the campfire and venturing around in the great outdoors. Friday the kids got a snake from the wood pile. We celebrated our nephew Nate's Birthday around the campfire. Saturday we dodged rain drops, and widdled sticks, and eat great food. Sunday we ate more food, tried to dry out from the rain, and was able to have hunter's stew on the fire. In the afternoon, we went to the petting farm. Cody loved the animals and to this day, he is still talking about the Big Black and white Cow or in his words... the "Big MOO MOO". The cow did seem very friendly and wanted to kiss anyone who came close (like grandma nancy and mom-me), and would even try to get through the fence. Cody liked the little pony who tried to eat his stroller. To hear Cody talk about his experience is truely a moment to cherish. Then Monday started out with a pancake breakfast, then Cody went on his first boat ride! He did really good and even wore his Spiderman approved lifejacket. After that we played on the beach and Cody loved to run into the water and fall down. We went on the boat with Paul LaRue (Elisa's husband and Cody's Godfather!). Paul and Elisa are expecting their first child any day now, but they made the trip out to SBC for the day. They are having a boy... this will be great in a few years as we will have camping buddies. Then aftet nap time we headed home. What a great weekend!!
