New week and lots of activities

Today I am taking Brady to Grand Rapids for a follow up video swallow test. He had one 6 months ago, and so we need to check on how he is doing. As a result from last weeks procedures, the Dr. did call with some of the results and she confirms that he has asthma and he does aspirate when swallowing. So we will continue to use the thickener to thicken his liquids. She also tested him for some other viruses and such, and found he did have some bacterial infection and she is started him on antibiotics. Overall he has these conditions and we just have to keep giving him breathing treatments everyday and giving him his medications and hopefully as he grows he will out grow some of them.

We have lots of other things planned this week too. So hopefully we can get to all of them and enjoy Valentine's day too! Sending out our love to all!

Cody is doing great and becoming more mature and loves to be telling us all about the things in his life that gets him excited. He still loves his cars and trucks and playing "I spy" in the car or going special places even if it is to the store to buy groceries. He is a great helper and loves to make us laugh.

Today I am thankful for the joy we have and for life! I went to a baby shower for a cousin of mine yesterday. She shared a wonderful story about a friend of hers who died the day before from a rare form of leukemia. She wanted everyone to celebrate her life this weekend and in the years to come on the 8th of Feb in remembrance of her friend. Of course there was not a dry eye in the room! I know my cousin is also celebrating the life growing inside her and we look forward to meeting baby Johnson in the next couple of months!

So I am sending this out as a reminder of the joys we have in each ones life. I celebrate life today. And as I sit and think of the people I have lost in my life, my grandparents, who died several years ago almost to the day too.... LIFE DOES go on in our hearts! I miss you Grandpa Jackman, Grandma and Grandpa Buchholz, Great Grandma Goodman, Uncle Mike and Uncle Larry, Uncle Nick and Aunt Marliyn, Uncle Chuck, and the many dear friends from over the years. Thank you for sharing your life with me and the memories I have of each of you!!!!
