About Me

My photo
Here is a glimpse of what I do and love... my family and social networks. I have been a social worker for 17 years. I love scrapbooking, camping, being creative and most of all my life as a mom.

Go Pink, Go Blue & Gold....

October is National Down Syndrome Awareness month. It is also Breast Cancer Awareness month and probably many other awareness's too! SO enjoy those around you that have trisomy 21, or are a survivor or know someone who has had breast cancer! I know both. I celebrate life and those who mean so much to me.

Visit these websites for more information:
National Down Syndrome Society
Capital Area Down syndrome Association - this is the one we belong to
Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast MI

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Here is a photo of someone I know very well... His name is Brady! You can still support our efforts of fundraising at www.firstgiving.com/dawntomlin

So for those who have special people in their lives as we do, remember that sharing knowledge and information about that subject can make a difference. Go Pink, Go Blue & Gold (colors of Breast cancer and Down syndrome!)
