Cody in the lime light....

Cody is truly a funny little character. He is really dramatic at times, and loves to have his picture taken and say cheese. Then he says "I see, I see" to see the picture or video of himself. He is learning his colors and shapes in school. I think his favorite color is blue for right now. Although, he really likes his orange jacket that Aunt Evie gave him. He loves M&M's or "em e m's" as he calls them. I think he likes the "black" ones he says which is really the brown ones. During our recent camping trip we found out that he likes "black" donuts (the little round chocolate ones from Hostess). On our way to school/work we look for fun and colorful things to identify. Now he is noticing the trees turning colors, which are beautiful by the way. He even noticed the difference between the orange construction sign and a red stop sign. This kid is smart! He is learning how to spell his name (we are teaching him some of this at home or when we went camping to keep him occupied at 7 am when he wanted to go outside!) He recognizes some letters and will gladly point them out when he sees them on a book, sign or wall decorations.

Cody keeps up with the big kids at school. He loves to run, play soccer or other sports. He loves reading books and has some favorites at school and home. One of the ones he loves at school is about tractors and vehicles and the other is about Football (go figure... and just to let you know, he does know who the Detroit Lions are... can you imagine why?). At home the books that he looks for the most is about horses and his little tractor one. He is also enjoying riding outside on his fun toys and playing with chalk. The other day we were outside and he was drawing with the chalk. I asked what he was drawing... his reply was... "Airplanes" and proceeded to draw 2 lines together and run and dance as he was doing it.

I love hearing him describe events or things we have done. He likes to still use sign language and sing songs. He is singing "Happy Birthday" to most things or himself lately. He also likes "the wheels on the bus" and we make up funny sounds or silly things.
