About Me

My photo
Here is a glimpse of what I do and love... my family and social networks. I have been a social worker for 17 years. I love scrapbooking, camping, being creative and most of all my life as a mom.

Happy 8 months Brady

Well, Brady has officially turned 8 months old! Yeah for Brady. Now, I have mentioned that my camera, the memory card or something is wrong with the computer.... SO I have some really cute photos, but can not retrieve them. I am frustrated. Now this weekend and in the weeks to come... well, it is going to be Brady's first Christmas, and Cody's 3rd one! I want to get it fixed. The money is tight so I dont know how to make it happen, but it will somehow.

As I checked on my favorite sites and blogs, I have noticed that many people are starting to feel the holiday stress at least today... and no exception for me. Today has been a somewhat stressful day at work. I can not give details but I can say that I felt a little like I just have not been a good Social worker lately. I know that I will have these days and it will brighten in the future. Then I also barely hit a deer going 40 miles/hour on the way home, that basically was in my face. I have been going slow just for that purpose since we have been seeing a herd almost every night this week. I was shocked and thankfully we made it home no problem.

Then when we got home... Cody decided to have a tantrum that lasted at least 45 minutes. This was very hard, but he was not going to get his way. I am proud of Ken and I for not giving in to him and working together to keep each other positive. We could tell that it was a manipulation tactic and he finally came out of his room, ate dinner with us, and we had a better evening.

Brady is growing so much. He is wanting to sit up on his own and is getting a little better at balancing. He is rolling and scooting but loves to play and talk. We had Speech therapy this week. He is having conversations and loves to laugh that makes you laugh more when he gets going. It is adorable.

I was able to get our Christmas lights up outside... and this is the last year of many of the strands! I will be throwing them out since half of them do not work. I was able to get it to look festive with them as is. So that was good. I still have not put up the tree but hopefully in the next week we should be able to do so.

This weekend we will be traveling to our families for more festivities and visiting with some friends. I look forward to seeing everyone. I just pray for continued health, and that we have safe travels and we do not get burned out. I love the holidays, and I hope we can stay healthy. Thanks for listening..

I must say, May we all take a moment to take a break and be Thankful, even among the stresses that we encounter. I am praying this prayer for myself today. Blessings!
