Middle of the week

Well here we are on Wed. I am having a great day. Cody is trying out potty training and so far he has only had one accident. I am approaching this from I know he will make mistakes but, I am ready! He and I did crafts this morning while Brady was attempting to feed himself with a bowl, and spoon. He was talking baby talk and demanding more! I was multi-tasking, playing with Cody, feeding Brady and eating my brunch. It worked out and yes both made messes, but we all had a great time. Cody made a drum, and glue pictures and cut paper. Brady ate peas, yogurt, and applesauce.

Then it was time for naps. Cody was getting tired so I said, go to your room and lay down, he did! I went to check on him and read books if he was not asleep... well, he was asleep all by himself! I was amazed, as I am each time he has done this since we have been home. I know he would do it by himself at day care, so it is just different when it is with mom/dad. Cody is making me so proud of him. He even helped yesterday with the weeding and yard work. Before that, we were at the Potter Park Zoo with our friends Erinn, Shaye and Averie. It was fun and beautiful to see the animals and the weather was perfect. Cody and Shaye are only 3 months apart and Shaye is a head taller than Cody! They were cute together, holding hands and exploring and sometimes getting into trouble! Brady and Averie are 3 weeks apart. So they enjoyed the scenery and strolling around in the strollers. Cody did good in following directions even when it was time to go. Shaye had more difficult of a time. But we have had those times too! My prayers are going out for Erinn today as she awaits a decision on a job offer!

Here are some other pictures I have taken some time this month... Just wanted to share how wonderful my kids are and I am having a special time being with them. This week, has been refreshing and rewarding. I have made the right decision!
