Birthdays and Other fun times...

Well, this weekend was one full of parties.

I helped a friend out on saturday morning and watched her son Josiah. Cody and Josiah are 4 months apart and are best buds. They love boy stuff and it was fun.

We celebrated first with my side, our nieces Tori and Livi's birthdays. Tori is 10 and Livi is 5. We had fun and Cody always loves a party, especially with his cousins. Then we traveled to Ken's side for our niece's 1st Communion celebration. So more cousins and running around. We got home around midnight Sat. evening.

We got up early enough to make it to the 9:30am church service. Cody did ok in "big" church for about 10 minutes, then he needed to go to "little" church so he could play (aka nursery). Brady fell asleep as soon as the sermon started and woke up when the sermon ended and the music started. Then, I was blessed by a woman in our church who came up to me and told me how much she is proud of me and our family. She was also telling me how much my devotional that I wrote for the Lenten Devotional touched her and she knows that God truly knew how to place Brady in our family. I cried. I know this woman who sits in her wheelchair and is such a wonderful woman of God. I enjoyed her encouraging words and caring Christian spirit. God bless Micki.

Then after church Cody wanted to play on the playground and we enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and Brady got to enjoy the swing. Then off to our friend Averie's 1st birthday. She and Brady are only 17 days apart. The boys were out numbered by several girls. It was fun and we are so thankful to have a group of wonderful friends in the area.

Oh, yeah, yesterday (saturday) Brady got his first haircut with the clippers. I had them out since I was cutting Ken's hair. So I thought it was time Brady needed a hair cut too. Now that he is 1, I thought he needed a big boy haircut. It has made him look and smile with the same cuteness as ever!

As I reflect on today's sermon, I believe and hope I can continue to worship God with all my spirit, all my mind and all my body. I was inspired today and just want to praise God for the warm sunshine and for family and friends who enrich our lives to the fullest. This has been a wonderful healthy weekend. I look forward to sharing more fun things we are doing these days. This is my first full week of being a stay at home mom... so stay tuned.
