Well, Cody is growing up and now is 34 months old! He is talking really well, and loves to be helping around the house and loves to go shopping! He is excited about anything water, tractors, monster trucks, and baseball. He is very observant and enjoys going to "special" places, even if it is to the grocery store! He loves going to the park and reading books. If you might consider watching his favorite movies: Cars, Toy Story 1 & 2, Hermie videos, Signing Time, Monster Trucks, or shows on PBS in the morning, another favorite pastime!
We are enjoying the summer and we are going to celebrate Father's Day going on a Wild West Adventure... So stay tuned for the low down on the days activities.
I spent part of this week (Monday - Wednesday) with my sister Evelyn and her family, since our power went out on Sunday afternoon. We went to the Toledo Zoo with Gabriel's kindergarten class, and it was a wonderfully beautiful day, after a rainy trip down there. Then watched Cameron play baseball. Cody thought he was on the team, and walked out on the field thinking he was going to play too.
Then I was able to experience the IKEA store in Canton, MI. It was fun and I look forward to going back. We ate lunch there and then came home. I appreciate my sister taking us in and having a fun time with her and her family.
So here are some pictures of Cody in the here and now! The one with Cody wearing red ear protectors... He calls himself "Tractor Man" since Ken wears them while mowing the lawn on the tractor. He wants to see the movie Kung Fu Panda, but we of course had to go to Mc Donald's and get the PO Panda toy, he has 3 of them! He is also working hard on potty training. He is changing his own pull up, and only needs minimal help in dressing! He has a chore list and is helping more around the house. He gets a star for doing the various things on the list. Then he gets to choose a "special" place or buy a toy when he earns so many stars. It is working. Of course, though, He has to put the star on the paper too! Very creative.
Cody's favorite color is blue or green, but mostly blue. Favorite fruit...watermelon, or any other fruit you have around, like cherries, plums, apples, grapes, oranges, bananas, you get the picture.
We are so proud of him and just impressed with how he is developing and growing into a young boy. Cody wants to have a blue cake with candles for his 3rd birthday, not sure what theme to pick but I am sure he will tell me!
