Just wanted to give a great word of thanks! Brady had his 18 month check up today and he is growing and doing well. There was some (actually more like alot) of wax build up in his left ear. He tolerated the cleaning just fine, after I and the nurse got totally sprayed by the water she was cleaning his ear out with! Then he didn't even flinch when he got his flu shot. I am proud of his abilities.
I have not downloaded any pictures from this month yet, so that will have to be another day. Ken gave me a 90 minute timeframe to work on the computer then I have to help him watch the boys. I had some volunteer stuff to do, and have not even started it (ooops!) Too many emails and blogs to check on. Then of course, I needed to post something on my own too.
Cody is loving the outdoors, and when we have the car. He knows when daddy has the car, we do not get to go anywhere during the day. But we have managed to keep busy with things around the house/outside.
Over the weekend my friend Heather and I spent the day together canning applesauce. This was our first attempt to doing without our moms or others who have canned with us. Heather found some great apples at an amish farm/place not too far from here. So we did it. We made about 34 quarts total! So that was fun. Then we needed a break and we went back to her house so our families could enjoy a great pizza or two, and a campfire! It was perfect fall weather, not too hot, not too cold and just the perfect night. To top it off, there were fireworks close enough we could sit and watch them from her backyard. We are thankful to have met the Johnson's and we can hang out together for fellowship. Thanks Heather!
Then on Columbus day we celebrated the 80 degree weather at Somerset Beach Campground for the day. Ken needed to winterize the camper and so what better place for the boys to play and burn off energy. We enjoyed the sunshine and said good bye to the camper for the winter. The colors of the fall were astowning and I just liked watching the geese on the beach, feeling the wind and seeing Cody play and Brady smile in the swing! What a wonderful day.
Well, my time is up for now. Better go and be with the family. Til next time!
