Happy December. I am so happy to be in the Season of the holidays. I love the holidays and even more so if everyone is healthy! So far, after our sickness on Thanksgiving. We are all healthy again, thankfully.
We have had a fun December so far. We went and saw Santa (Larry our Neighbor) at the Floral shop on Sat. The boys did great! I will post pics later. At first Cody did not want to sit on Santa's lap "he is scary". We told him that was fine and all he needed to do was tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. When we got to see Santa, and santa called out for Cody, he walked right up there and started talking to him and sat on his lap. No problem. He proceeded to tell Santa what everyone wanted for Christmas! Too cute. Later that night we were talking about the day (we had a couple of other events I will tell you about in a minute). Cody popped up and said "Larry Santa" was not scary. So does he know who santa is? Or just that it really was Larry? hmmmm?
The rest of the day we spent in Eaton Rapids. It was the Hometown Christmas celebration. We made crafts at the Red Ribbon Hall, and saw another santa, that neither boy wanted anything to do with. That was fine since I got my good pictures earlier. Then we went to the library and saw Clifford the Big Red Dog! Cody again did not want to see him, but did listen to the story and ran around the library. Brady was fasinated and wanted to investigate this Big Red Dog! After that we went home to have a little dinner. Then it was back out for the Hometown christmas parade.
We met up with several different friends/families. It was very cold to say the least, since it is december already! It was snowing a little and just made for a special night. The kids did really great sitting on the curb watching the floats and such go by. Cody and Josiah, however, were not impressed with the sirens on the fire trucks and both put their hands over their ears. Brady was bundled very warmly and only his eyes were exposed! He seemed to enjoy the marching band and clapped with the music. I must say, that I really enjoyed the parade and seeing all our friends. What a special night it was! Hope to do it again next year and in the years to come!
We had a fun birthday party for our neice Rachael and she turned 9. We are gearing up for the next events and looking forward to even what santa is going to bring.... I think we might purchase a used minivan before christmas! YAHIPPEEEE!!! That is what I asked santa to bring!(or had Cody tell santa, that is what mom wanted!) So that will be exciting.
I will post the pictures later, as brady is now waking up from his nap. Cody is still sleeping. Happy December! Brady is now 20 months old and Cody is 40 months!
