HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!
Well, it came and went, however, I love celebrating my birthday! The day it self was nothing special or extrodinary... I just enjoyed being at home with my boys. Cody was in a good mood and I was still not feeling that great since I got another cold. Brady too was out of sorts. Not to mention it rained all day.
I was able to take a nap and then we all went out to eat at Findley's in Lansing. I would say it was not the best of food as we just love a good steak, and I would next time chose Texasroad House anyday! I still made the best of it.
We did go out to Red Robin on Saturday and must say that was fun too. Cody thinks if we have a birthday it is his too. So we let him believe it except when it comes to presents. Now he wants a new batman fishing pole that he saw at Meijers, and he wants it for his birthday. Only time will tell!
So this week Brady and I are still recovery from our colds and I hope we get over them soon! I am looking forward to Spring. It is now Daylight savings and it always take me a week or so to adjust to that too. It has been raining alot and Cody is liking the opportunities to wear his rubber boots so he can jump in the puddles and wear his rain coat.
On Saturday we also had a fun time at the Family Fun Event in Eaton Rapids. We enjoyed Frankie the Fox from Hope Network, Chief Police Officer Malewski and local firewoman and men. The theme was safety and it was a big turn out! This was great. I also did a station about first aid. The kids loved bandaging up my legs, arms and stuffed animals! I loved seeing them learn so much.
I will post some photos later... I guess I say that alot. I just downloaded all the photos I have taken in the last several weeks. So now I have to edit them. That will have to wait as it is time for Brady to go to sleep and I think American Idol is on... so I will see you later!
Oh, my birthday gift from Ken and the boys was a new computer monitor, flat screen 17 in. So that is cool. I also get to go scrapbooking at the end of the month. Thanks to my boys for giving me these things. I sure do appreciate time away. The end of the week, I get to pamper myself with a massage (a gift card from Valentine's day last year, 2008!) and a haircut and eyebrow wax. I can hardly wait for the new me for 2009! Thanks for all the cards and emails wishing me a happy birthday! Here is one photo... of me on my birthday... I still need to get me a cake though.. guess that will have to wait.
