Happy 1st Birthday Brady!!!!!

Today was his real birthday. It was a good day for him. We did not do much as I was able to get to work after being home with him for the past week. He has another cold of sorts which irritated his Asthma that is the result the RSV he had back in January! This is going to be the case with him until he gets stronger.

Anyways, he did get to go outside and swing for the first time! He and Cody both seemed to love the swings at day care. I even remember Cody falling asleep in the swing on several occasions. Then we celebrated at home with him getting to eat a mini chocolate cupcake, and of course, he liked the frosting too.

Some exciting things he is doing...

*Signed "Milk" and the Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist both witnessed it!
*Rolling and just about looking like he is crawling, at least he is getting up on all fours then tumbling over, scooting backwards
*Laughing and smiling when he is sick
*Eating most foods, still on puree baby foods, likes juice mostly pear
*Smiling at Cody and talking to him
*Playing with balls or trying to get some of Cody's toys
*Watch Cody run through the house and wrestle with mom and dad
*Get tickled by mom
*Read books or eat them if they are good enough (like cookie monster), that also goes for his socks and shoes... He gets them off faster than I can put the other one on!
*He has a liking for pretty jewelry... he has broken bracelets and a couple of my necklaces as he does have a good hold on things
*He seems to like the camera and does grab that too!
*Shakes his head side to side when he is hungry or just excited and rubs his face in your shoulder or whatever he is near!

Well, Brady, I am amazed that one year ago, we were sitting in the hospital adoring you and how precious you are. I am doing the same today. YOU are very special, and I am so thankful you are in our lives. I know you have been sick many times and all I can hope for is that you continue to preserve and be strong and courageous! I love you very much and am so proud of you and who you are becoming. Each day when you wake me up and smile up at me, just melts my heart. Then I give you hugs and kisses and you smile and seem to give them back. I love how you are so interested in the life around you and especially music. Happy birthday! You are officially one year old! How you have grown and keep growing. Keep up the pace and keep running! I will always be here for you, or as the book says "I love you forever, I will like you for always, as long as I am living, my baby you will be." I love you Brady! Love your Mommy, Daddy and Brother!

I can't believe it has been a year already. Time flies when you are having fun and especially when there are children involved. Can't wait to have some play dates when you start staying home :)
