About Me

My photo
Here is a glimpse of what I do and love... my family and social networks. I have been a social worker for 17 years. I love scrapbooking, camping, being creative and most of all my life as a mom.

Life just keeps going

Good morning and I write a little to see how long I will have before the boys wake up! We have been enjoying our fall season with the warm days that are like Sept, not Nov! I am so thankful for each season that as each day and each hour the weather changes.

I will see if I have more pictures to post from the last few weeks. The boys and I have had some fun with playdates with our friends. This is so fun and the children are starting to play more and not say "mine" so much, even though it still happens! I am thankful for our friends and wanted to say it is helpful to find Christian friends here in Eaton Rapids that we can have as a foundation as the boys grow up! We still miss our other friends that we do not get to see that often.

Cody is doing funny things like "hiding" when people, even mom or dad come home. He is helpful and likes to put the clean dishes away, then put the soap in the dishwasher for the next load, set the table, help dad with laundry (which basically means that he watches a movie or plays downstairs), and play with his trucks and toys.

Cody is growing and I think he has grown overnight! He seems taller and loves to share his stories with us. He is also very observant and has an excellent memory.

He has been having some "bad dreams" so we are trying to help him talk about them so he can feel safe to go to sleep. He is getting better with his tantrums, yet he still has a hard time when things dont go his way. He says "I'll be nice" well of course that is too late, and he seems to have a good sense of when he acts in a negative way, he does not get to do the fun things. We just move on and help him have a sense of control to a point! He still has some problems with transitions and so we are working on those with him. He just has a hard time right around dinner time every night. This is when dad comes home from work, so Cody thinks he should immediately start playing with him and he does not have to follow directions. Any suggestions? WE have tried various things and just like most things we have to trial and error.

Well, as luck has it, someone woke up... will post the pictures later! Have a wonderful fall weekend! Blessings!
