Busch Gardens

We had a wonderful day on Sunday at Busch Gardens. The day started out a little rough with Cody having a meltdown of sorts, the tickets not printing easily and getting a later start then we wanted. We made the best of it anyway and by the time we got to the park entrance.... and Cody seeing the huge roller coasters and saying WOW, with Brady making a noise of excitment too, was the best start to the day.

For Cody he loves carnivals... so being at Busch Gardens, was the biggest carnival! We had fun in the Seasame Street play area which just opened this year. Cody got to ride his first roller coaster and came running off with the biggest grin ever! I was almost in tears seeing him enjoy it so much! I will cherish that moment. I think I did get a picture of it too. The rest of the day we just enjoyed the rides and some German food and music in the big Octoberfest FestHaus. I wish I would have looked around before I picked a turkey sandwich, because what do Germans eat? Sausages, and I just want one now! We did eat a huge piece of chocolate cake that was great too.

Cody and I wanted to ride this big water ride, and got all the way into the ride in the boat, and the guy said Cody was too short! I was so bummed as was Cody. We made up for it and found another ride or two or three. HE remembers it and still talks about how he could not ride it. We got to get splashed by the boat as it came down the big hill though, and that is what he wanted to do! We played in the Land of the Dragons and we got to play in the water there. Brady enjoyed splashing in the water and watching all the kids run around playing too. We also rode the sky tram and to see Ken white knuckle it was a sight! He does not like heights! The rest of us could not get enough of it!

Today it is raining and we are just hanging out chillin in the hotel. Cody is catching up on his tv time and playing with his light up sword he got in Busch Gardens. As far as what we did last week... well, just found a mall with an outside water feature the kids could play in, a nice nature center and park to play at and ate out each night.

This week will find some more interesting things to do and explore the area around Richmond. Have a great week and talk soon!
